This past summer, Facebook came into my world, an initial attempt to stay in touch with my colleague P and the students that traveled with us to Ireland, sharing pictures, reflections, and possible events. Since then, the attraction has grown. Yup, I'm a total fan of Facebook. I like the way it weaves connectivity together--lets me know when my bro is writing on someone's Super Wall, lets me know when my friend is has connected with another friend in common, and lets me know how I'm feeling with my need to update my mood periodically. Lately, though, the edition of Scrabulous (Scrabble) to my site has just made for constant addiction. At this point, I think I have 9 games going with a variety of people, some more active than others. We send messages back and forth, allowing me to catch up with former students, current ones, my brother, and one of my closest friends who moved to Vancouver. So, in the midst of my final three week meltdown, I distract myself while grading to play some tiles and make my next word.
